By default, WordPress uses Gravatar for profile images. This plugin gives you full control by letting you:
- Upload a custom avatar from your profile page
- Replace the default WordPress avatar instantly
- Disable Gravatar completely
- Keep avatar data local to your site

You can manage the permissions. Select who can change its avatar.
Installation
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/custom-profile-avatardirectory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen. - Activate the plugin through the ’Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
- Go to Users Profile.
- Upload your custom avatar.
- Optionally disable Gravatar in the plugin settings.
