Kan inte splitta terms (etiketter, kategorier mm)

Av någon anledning delades aldrig våra terms, som byggde på samma taxonomi ID och titel, automatiskt när WordPress gick över till delade terms iom version 4.1
Det har lett till flera udda problem som vi först nu börjat förstå vidden av. Bland annat är det omöjligt att redigera terms (kategorier, taggar, event-tags osv) som använder en gemensam term. Man möts bara av en sida som säger att man saknar behörighet, även om man är admin för sajten. Samtidigt så är det omöjligt att spara eller publicera inlägg som använder en gemensam term, som tex kategori. Får upp en anonym ”unable to update”-banner som vi spårat ned till att den bara uppstår när en av de delade kategorierna är valda.
Vi har försökt installera det manuella tillägget Find_shared_terms, som är duktig på att lista alla bråkiga terms som borde ha delats, men misslyckas dela dem med väldigt intetsägande felmeddelanden.Splitting all shared terms ERROR: Term Taxonomy ID 3 could not be split!
