Romesoft Post Visibility Manager is a straightforward access control plugin for WordPress. It allows administrators to manage exactly which user roles can view your content, and provides elegant password protection options.

Features

Global Visibility Defaults: Control which roles can access a specific Content Type (Posts, Pages, or any Custom Post Type) by default.
Custom Visibility per Post: Override global settings on individual posts or pages.
Global Password Protection: Set a single site-wide password to protect specific content types.
Device-Based Restrictions: Block or allow access based on the visitor’s device (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) using either a fast CSS-based Visual method or a secure AJAX-based Strict method.
Content Exclusion (Bypass): Select specific pages (like your ”My Account” or ”Checkout” pages) to always bypass protection rules.
Smart Filtering: Restricted posts are automatically hidden from archive loops and search results.
Access Denied Screen: Replaces the default 404 error with a professional ”Access Denied” template.

Installation

Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/romesoft-post-visibility-manager directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
Activate the plugin through the ’Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
Use the new Post Visibility menu in your WordPress dashboard to configure global role access and exclusions.
Use the ”Post Visibility by Role” metabox on post editing screens for custom access or quick bypasses.

Does this work with custom post types?: Yes! Any public custom post type will automatically appear in the global settings allowing you to select and manage its visibility.
